Denman leads Magicians in a Sweep Over the Chill

The Magicians we on home ice for the first time all season this weekend. They had a two-game series against the Coulee Region Chill.

Friday was a thriller. Down by one with less a minute left and the goalie pulled, Magicians defenseman Matt Denman found the back of the net to take the game into overtime. After an overtime that went back and forth the teams went into a shootout. Denman’s magical night continued as he went top-shelf on the Coulee Region net-minder and scorer the game-winning goal to give the Magicians their first win of the season!

The Magicians went into game two looking for the sweep. The Magician took advantage of the man-advantage as they scored three power play goals against the Chill on Saturday night. The Magic also got a great performance and a couple huge saves from their goaltender Isaiah Saville. Saville had 22 saves and the Magicians were able to complete the sweep with a 4-2 victory.

The Magicians are home again this weekend with a three-game series against the Springfield Blues. Starting Thursday night with 7:05 puck drop!
