Draft Pick Profile: Camron Cervone

With the 25th overall pick in the 2017 NAHL Draft, the Minnesota Magicians selected defenseman, Camron Cervone from Rochester Hills, Michigan.

The Michigan native played for Compuware U18 team in the High-Performance Hockey League (HPHL). Cervone contributed 9 points (4 goals and 5 assists) from Compuware’s blueline last season. Cervone is a big strong defenseman that can make plays to get the puck out of the zone.

Cervone was also a participant at the USA Select-17s National Development Camp is summer, where he tallied 3 assists in 5 games.

“Camron had a very productive year with Compuware this past season,” said Minnesota Magicians Assistant Coach, Ben Weiand. “He is a well rounded, two-way defenseman, who can play in all situations. The Magicians are excited to be bringing in a great person and a kid with a very high ceiling to his game this season”
