Minnesota Magician's defenseman Logan Von Ruden has been promoted to the Cedar Rapids Rough Riders of the United States Hockey League (USHL). Through 25 games this season, the Northfield native registered two assists and a plus-two rating despite being one of the youngest players on the Magicians’ roster. In September, Von Ruden performed well enough at the North American Hockey League (NAHL) Showcase to earn himself a spot on the National Hockey League (NHL) Central Scouting List. “It is no surprise that Logan is getting a call up. He has been a rock back there for us all season long” added assistant coach Shane Wagner.
