Magicians Acquire Eetu Karvinen

Jun 9, 2013

The Minnesota Magicians made a big splash on Draft day by trading the 1st overall pick. What the Magicians received was 120 games of experience, not to mention, two hometown prospects that just so happen to be twin brothers. Aside from the Kuchera brothers, the Magicians made another surprise move prior to the draft. The Magicians added Finnish native Eetu Karvinen in a transaction with the Brookings Blizzard, for a second round draft pick. Karvinen has experience in the United States Hockey League with the Cedar Rapids Rough Riders and the Sioux City Musketeers. “Eetu is a top unit forward that has experience in the top junior leagues in the States, we are excited to add Karvina’s playmaking abilities up front”, added assistant coach Shane Wagner. The Minnesota Magicians (Members of the NAHL) will embark on their inaugural season in 2013-2014.
