The Minnesota Magicians have completed a trade with Odessa, acquiring the Jackalopes’ leading scorer last season, Lukas Laub along with a 3rd round draft pick in exchange for the Magicians’ 1st and 5th round picks in the upcoming 2014 (NAHL) Entry Draft being held on June 3rd. A native of Rosenheim Germany, Laub played in the 2014 World Junior Classic with team Germany this past December. Prior to his time in the NAHL, Laub spent the 2012-2013 season in the (USHL) with the Indiana Ice.

"Lukas Laub brings many dynamics to our hockey team. He is an experienced junior hockey player who leads by example with the way he goes about his business on and off the ice. He plays the game fast and has the ability to be a top forward in the NAHL. We will expect Lukas to have an immediate impact on our team on the ice, in the locker room, and in the community. He is a player who fans in Richfield will be very excited to watch because of his speed and ability." Added head coach and General Manager Tom Upton.
