Magicians Acquire Lino Lakes Native Slattery Via Trade

The Minnesota Magicians have completed a trade with the Minnesota Wilderness, acquiring Lino Lakes, Minnesota native Mitch Slattery in exchange for forward Connor Bucsis.

Slattery played two years of Minnesota high school hockey, starring for the Hill-Murray Pioneers where he played from 2012-2014. Last season, he played in the United States Hockey League (USHL), splitting time between the Fargo Force and Indiana Ice. This season, he has been playing with the Minnesota Wilderness of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) where he had 3 goals and 4 assists in 10 games played before being traded to the Magicians. He is currently committed to play Division-I collegiate hockey at St. Cloud State University.   

Bucsis, a native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, played a total of 37 games with the Magicians after being acquired via trade last season. Prior to his time with the Magicians, he played a total of 32 games with the Corpus Christi Ice Rays of the NAHL’s South Division.  He finished his stint with the Magicians with a total of 10 goals and 16 assists.
