Dec 16, 2013

The Minnesota Magicians of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) took some time on a Monday morning to visit the local STEM School in Richfield. On December 16th, Mario Bianchi, Matt Colford, and Jordan Stejskal talked with second graders about the Minnesota Magicians hockey team, healthy lifestyles, and the importance of respecting one another.  The following day, Nick and Derick Kuchera joined Kris Mckinzie on a visit with a 3rd grade classroom to with a similar message.  The Magicians’ school outreach program, called Lively Lifestyles, is designed for kindergarten through 6th grade students. Director of Team Operations Joe Scanlon said of the program, “We are grateful for the support of our surrounding communities, and are excited to give back in any way that we can.  Visiting with the local elementary schools is one of the best ways that we can impact our city in a positive way.”  For information on the Lively Lifestyles program or Minnesota Magicians hockey, log onto www.wisconsinjuniorhockey.com – or call the Magic Line at 612-861-9356.
