The Minnesota Magicians have signed goaltender Jens Vaughan Ahrens to a tender agreement for the 2014-2015 season. A native of Wayzata Minnesota, Ahrens played his last two seasons for the Wayzata Trojans. In two seasons at Wayzata, Ahrens had an overall record of 18-6-1. As a result of his successful sophomore and junior seasons, Ahrens earned a spot in the Midwest Elite High School League for Team Northwest, posting an overall record of 11-4-1.

"Vaughan is a product of the great youth and high school hockey organizations that surround our team in Minnesota. His development while growing up and playing in the State of Hockey has had an enormous impact on his ability. His character and focus on wanting to develop and continue to move towards his academic and athletic goals fit in just right with our team. He understands the necessary steps he needs to take as a person and player, to develop and compete at the highest levels. He is a local player who fans will appreciate having the opportunity to watch develop and grow in front of them." said head coach and General Manager Tom Upton of Ahrens.
