Magicians Make Organizational Changes

The Minnesota Magicians announce today that Scott Meyer has been promoted to President/General Manager of the franchise effective immediately. “Scott was instrumental in leading the Magicians as the team’s first head coach”, said Minnesota Magicians Principal Owner Scott Krueger. “In what was a planned move for our franchise, Scott will now take on a vital role with the daily operations and long term vision of the team.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed my role as Head Coach/General Manager in the Magicians inaugural season”, said Meyer. “I am excited to continue with the franchise and build the Magicians brand for years to come.”

The move leaves a coaching vacancy that the Magicians hope to fill in the near future. “We feel that coaching in the NAHL with the Magicians and living in the Twin Cities Metro area is a truly unique opportunity”, said Meyer. “The renovations to Richfield Ice Arena, our location, and the support for the franchise will appeal to a large number of qualified candidates.”

In another move the Magicians promoted Kevin Ingvalson to Vice President of Operations. “Kevin did a great job in year one for our franchise”, said Scott Krueger. “We are happy to have Kevin in this new role moving forward.”

The Minnesota Magicians host their Pre-Draft Camp May 16-18 in Hudson, WI and May 30-June 1 in Richfield, MN. The Magicians host their Open Camp in Simi Valley, CA June 20-22.
