Magicians Trade for Kuchera Twins

Jun 3, 2013

The Minnesota Magicians made a blockbuster trade at the beginning of the 2013 North American Hockey League Draft. The Magicians traded the first overall pick, and their third round pick, along with a 2014 tender, for Nick and Derik Kuchera of the Wenatchee Wild. The twins played at Eagan High School a year prior to playing in the NAHL. Nick was a forward last season that added 25 points in 60 games. Derick is a defenseman that also participated in 60 games collecting 12 points. “This is a trade that will give us experience up front and on the back end. We added two proven players that can play in the NAHL” added head coach Scott Meyer. The Minnesota Magicians (Members of the NAHL) will embark on their inaugural season in 2013-2014.
