Magicians Wrap Up Regular Season Home Schedule This Weekend

Mar 27, 2017

The Minnesota Magicians (29-21-6) will wrap up their regular season home schedule this weekend in a series vs. the Aberdeen Wings (28-23-3) at Richfield Ice Arena. It will be the first meeting between the two teams at Richfield this year, and both teams will be vying to clinch playoff berths with a couple of wins.

The Magicians continue to occupy 2nd place in the Midwest Division behind the Janesville Jets, who have secured the division championship and home ice advantage in the Divisional Playoffs. The Magicians are currently trying to fend off the surging Fairbanks Ice Dogs, who have taken advantage of a schedule in which one-third of their games have come against teams currently occupying last place in their respective divisions.

The conclusion of the regular season at Richfield Ice Arena will feature more than just great hockey. The Magicians will host a skate-around with the team after Friday’s contest, and fans will have an opportunity to meet their favorite players for pictures and autographs on the ice. The weekend will also be highlighted by an auction for game-worn Magicians jerseys, in addition to merchandise and ticket giveaways.
