The Minnesota Magicians are excited to announce that forward Pierce Crawford has committed to play Division I hockey at the College of the Holy Cross of Atlantic Hockey.

Crawford, a native of Park Ridge, Illinois played prep hockey at the prestigious Shattuck St. Mary’s School prior to signing a tender agreement with the Magicians for the 2015-2016 season. As a rookie this past year, he played in 49 games and led the team with 18 goals and 182 penalty minutes. He also added 24 assists to finish second on the team with 42 points.

In February, Crawford was rewarded for his hard work and quality play with an invite to participate in the NAHL Top Prospects event in Plymouth, Michigan. In two games representing the Central Division at the event he registered 2 assists as his team went unbeaten.

Speaking about Crawford’s commitment, Magicians Head Coach and General Manager Scott Meyer said, “We are excited for Pierce and his commitment to Holy Cross. A great school gets a great person and hockey player.”

Crawford added, “I’m very fortunate for the opportunities and support I have been given from the Minnesota Magicians. Being in such a large hockey market, combined with committed teammates, coaches, and staff really enabled me to develop as a player. I’m very grateful for the experience of playing in such a competitive league, and Minnesota will always have a special place in my heart.”
