PROSPECT REPORT: Carson Meyer

Jul 7, 2015

The Minnesota Magicians drafted forward Carson Meyer in the 12th Round (#188 Overall) of the 2015 North American Hockey League (NAHL) Draft.  Meyer is committed to play collegiate hockey at Dartmouth College of the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC), and he has played his midget hockey with the Ohio Blue Jackets of the T1EHL. Last season with the Blue Jackets, he compiled 21 goals and 30 assists in only 32 games played. He also played two games with the Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League (USHL), registering an assist.

Magicians Head Coach Tom Upton said of Meyer, "Carson was one of the best AAA players in the country last season. He impressed us the most with the plays he can make in small areas on the ice. He is responsible in a lot of situations throughout a hockey game. His compete level, and hunger to put the puck in the net and make plays are second to none and we are extremely happy and excited to have drafted him. He is committed to a great Division I program at Dartmouth College who have always done a tremendous job in recruiting not just the right players but the right people too. We feel that with all of those attributes, Carson will be exactly what we want and need on and off the ice with the Magicians."
