PROSPECT REPORT: Casey Jerry

Jun 22, 2015

A forward from Hudson, Wisconsin, Casey Jerry was the first selection for the Minnesota Magicians in the 2015 North American Hockey League (NAHL) draft (Round 1, 4th Overall).  A veteran of the United States Hockey League (USHL), Jerry played in 59 games last season for the Cedar Rapids Roughriders, producing 5 goals and 13 assists. During the previous season, he split time between the USHL Roughriders and the Austin Bruins of the NAHL. He is currently committed to play Division I hockey at Minnesota State University – Mankato, where he will be joining former Magicians forward Marc Michaelis as a member of the Mavericks.

Magicians Head Coach Tom Upton had this to say about the veteran forward, "Casey is a player who I coached while I was in Cedar Rapids. He is a phenomenal person and works hard for everything he gets. His offensive instincts and skill set are as good as they come and he is committed to a great Division 1 program in Minnesota State Mankato. With all of his attributes as a player and person he will have a tremendous opportunity to spend next season in the USHL, if for some reason he needs a home in the NAHL we will be extremely excited to welcome him."
