PROSPECT REPORT: Matt Riggleman

Jun 19, 2015

Another forward tendered by the Minnesota Magicians for the 2015-2016, Matt Riggleman is a forward from Michigan who most recently played for Honeybaked U18 of the High Performance Hockey League (HPHL).  Prior to his stint in the Honeybaked program, Riggleman played prep hockey at Brother Rice High School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.  In his most recent season of play with Honeybaked, Riggleman played in 23 HPHL games, registering 7 goals and 6 assists.

Magicians head coach Tom Upton said of Riggleman, "Matt is a very talented player who was one of the top players at a very good and well known program in Detroit Honeybaked. I have seen Matt play for a couple years and he always gets better every time. He is the type of player who cannot only skate well and have a good skill set and shot, but he earns everything he gets on the ice. He plays extremely hard and knows how to compete in order to have success on the ice and continue on to the top level. We are expecting him to have a big impact on our team this coming season."

Riggleman will compete for a spot on the Magicians opening day roster at the team's upcoming Main Camp at Richfield Ice Arena in late July. Stay up to date on all the latest news and information about Minnesota Magicians hockey by following the team on Facebook and Twitter!
