Magicians Head Coach Tom Upton said of LaLonde, "Noah is one of the top forwards in the country in his age group. I have seen him play a lot over the last 2 seasons and he always impresses me with his playmaking and offensive ability. He is committed to a great Division 1 program at Michigan State and comes from one of the most successful teams to come through AAA hockey during his time at Detroit HoneyBaked. He is a great kid who is committed and understands the development process in order to prepare himself to be an impact player in the USHL and Division 1 college hockey and I am extremely excited to have the opportunity to have him on our team and develop with us as a player and person"

In 2014, LaLonde was drafted by the Des Moines Buccaneers in the United States Hockey League (USHL) Futures Draft. That same year, he was also drafted by the Plymouth Whalers of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) in the OHL Priority Selection Draft.
