PROSPECT REPORT: Trevor St. Jean

Jul 6, 2015

Trevor St. Jean was drafted by the Minnesota Magicians in the 9th Round (#157 Overall) of the 2015 North American Hockey League (NAHL) Draft. An Ohio native, the forward has played his AAA hockey with the Ohio Blue Jackets of the Tier I Elite Hockey League (T1EHL). In two seasons with the Blue Jackets U16 team, St. Jean collected 52 points in 76 games played. Last season on the U18 Blue Jackets, he contributed 6 goals and 16 assists in 31 games played.

Of St. Jean, Magicians Head Coach Tom Upton said, "In my opinion Trevor has been one of the best all around players in AAA hockey the past 2 seasons. He can move well around the ice, competes very hard, is strong on pucks and in his own end, and he can make plays in the offensive zone. I feel we were very fortunate to draft him where we did and we are extremely excited to see the impact he can have on our team this coming season while he pursues his goal of a Division I commitment."

St. Jean will compete with a number of Magicians prospects for a spot on the team's opening day roster at the upcoming Main Camp at Richfield Ice Arena in late July.  For all the latest news and information on Minnesota Magicians Hockey, follow the team on social media and download the team's all new mobile app, available for iPhone and Android!
