PROSPECT REPORT: Tyler Bump

Jul 7, 2015

Tyler Bump was drafted by the Minnesota Magicians in the 10th Round (#168 Overall) of the 2015 North American Hockey League (NAHL) Draft.  A Prior Lake, Minnesota native, Bump played youth hockey for Shattuck St. Mary's prep school before enrolling at Prior Lake High School of the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL). Last season as a senior, Bump had 20 goals and  17 assists in 26 games through the regular season and playoffs.

Magicians Head Coach Tom Upton said of Bump, "Tyler is one of the top high school hockey players from around our area. He proved that he can make plays and score big goals at the high school level. He has also shown that he can compete and work hard in all 3 zones of the ice. His skating is very good and he is willing to go to the hard areas on the ice. He is a player that our organization knows very well from a personal and character stand point and we know he will fit right in with our culture and expectation on and off the ice."

The Magicians will host their Main Camp in late July at Richfield Ice Arena, where their prospects and returning players will compete for spots on the team's early season roster.
