Dec 20, 2016

The Minnesota Magicians are excited to announce that defenseman Robbie Stucker of St. Thomas Academy has signed a tender agreement with the team for the 2017-2018 season.

Stucker is currently playing in his senior season with St. Thomas Academy, his fourth season of varsity hockey in the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL). In addition to his seasons with St. Thomas, Stucker has played two seasons for Team Southeast of the Upper Midwest High School Elite League during the falls of 2015 and 2016. Last season as a junior he played in 25 games for the Cadets, contributing 3 goals to go along with 18 assists. To date this season, he has played in 7 games and has already tallied 13 points. In addition to receiving NAHL interest, Stucker has been drafted by United States Hockey League (USHL) teams in the past as well, having been selected by Waterloo in 2014 and Bloomington in 2016.

Speaking about what Stucker brings to the table as a recruit, Magicians Head Coach and General Manager Scott Meyer said, “Robbie is a big smooth D-man playing locally at STA. He can play all scenarios and we are excited to have him.”
