The Minnesota Magicians of the North American Hockey League will have three players in representation at the North American Top Prospects Tournament, held February 17-18 in Troy Michigan. Magician’s players will play on a team with other members of the Midwest Division. Representing the Magicians will be captain Nick Kuchera, Atte Tolvanen, and Will Johnson. Kuchera captains the Magicians squad and is currently tied for the team lead with 26 points. Tolvanen, who has appeared in 32 games this season and is second in the NAHL with 940 saves, will backstop the Midwest Division team in goal. Johnson, a 17-year-old who is tied for the team lead with 12 goals and is also a Division I commitment with Air Force, will represent the Magicians on the U18 club in Troy. “We are excited to have our players represented in the tournament. It will be an exciting week of hockey and a great opportunity for our payers to get noticed” added Magicians head coach Scott Meyer. The North American Top Prospects Tournament is one of the highest regarded events for NHL and Division I scouts.
