It was nice having the Magicians home last weekend but they will once again hit the road, as they will travel to South Dakota to take on the Aberdeen Wings. The Magicians will look to pick up two more road victories, as they are 6-3-1 on the road this season.
About the Wings:
The Wings are in 1st place in the Central Division with a record of 10-6-2 (22 points). Aberdeen is currently on a four-game winning streak, picking up sweeps over Minot and Brookings the last two weekends.
Wings To Watch:
Forward Nathan Burke – Burke is the point leader of the Wings with 19 points (11G 8A). More impressive is his 13 power play points which leads the NAHL.
Defenseman Jack Kelly – The Texas native, leads the Wings in plus/minus with a +12 rating (third best in the NAHL). On top of that, he has 7 points, which is the most from a Wings’ defenseman.
Who’s Hot for the Magic?
Isaiah Saville – Saville stays hot picking up the Midwest Division Star of the Week. He stopped 67 of 70 shots faced last weekend and continues to impress many that he is just 17 years old.
Keranen-Grundy-Breitenfeldt line – These three have played together for most the year and last weekend was no different, they continued to be a force on the ice. They combined for 7 points (3 goals 4 assists) on the weekend. On the year, Keranen leads the team with 16 points, Grundy in third with 14, and Breitenfeldt has 10. A combined 40 points which 32% of the Magicians scoring.
