Weekend Preview: Magicians Look to Slow Down the Jets

After a weekend off, the Magicians are rested and ready to go for a two-game set against the Janesville Jets this weekend at Richfield Ice Arena. The Jets come in riding a six-game winning streak that started when the Magicians traveled to Janesville in late December. The Magicians will look to cool down the red-hot Jets and pick up some much-needed points this weekend at home.

About the Jets:

The Jets are in 2nd place in the Midwest Division with a record of 23-8-2 (48 points). Last time out the Jets swept the Magicians in Janesville. The Jets have an overall record of 5-1 against the Magic this season.

Wings To Watch:

#68 Forward Jakov Novak – Novak currently leads the entire NAHL in points with 42 (17G 25A). The Bentley commit has 9 points against the Magicians this season already.

#81 Forward Kip Hoffmann – Hoffmann has an impressive 36 points (13G 23A) on the year. He will be heading to play his Division One hockey at Robert Morris University next season.

Who’s Hot for the Magic?

Cam Buhl – Buhl tallied two goals against the Aberdeen Wings the Magicians last time out. Buhl has been a goal scorer all year for the Magic and now has eight on the season.
