Weekend Preview: Magicians Try to Bounce Back Against the Brown Bears

The Magicians will have a two-game series against the Kenai River Brown Bears this weekend at Richfield Ice Arena. These are the Magicians final two games before the holiday break. They currently sit in fourth place in the Midwest Division with a record of 14-12-2 (30 points). After dropping two games to Fairbanks last weekend the Magicians will try to bounce back against the Brown Bears this weekend.

About the Brown Bears:

The Brown Bears are one spot behind the Magicians in the standings with a record of 10-17-1 (21 points).

Brown Bears To Watch:

#13 Forward Luke Radetic – Most of the Brown Bears offense runs through Luke Radetic. He leads the team and the entire league in points with 31 (16G 15A) in 28 games.

#18 Forward Gil Garcia – A native Enstaberga, Sweden, Gil Garcia has found a new home in the Kenai. Garcia has 21 points on the year including 12 goals, which is second on the team, only behind Radetic.

Who’s Hot for the Magic?

Calvin Dybicz – Dybicz was the Magician of the Week AGAIN. The Michigan State recruit had two goals and an assist last weekend against Fairbanks. Dybicz has an impressive six points in his last four games.

Jarrett Lee – Two more points for Lee last weekend, giving him a team-leading 23 on the season.
