Will LeNeave Commits To Gustavus

May 24, 2017

The Minnesota Magicians are excited to announce that defenseman Will LeNeave has committed to play Division III hockey at Gustavus Adolphus College of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC).

LeNeave hails from Orono, Minnesota where he played three years of varsity hockey for Orono High School before beginning his junior hockey career with the Carleton Place Canadians of the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL). He played 58 career games and registered 17 points in the CCHL before moving on to the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) to start the 2016-17 season with the Nanaimo Clippers. After 36 games with the Clippers, LeNeave was acquired by the Magicians for the 2nd half of the year. In 23 regular season games played for the Magicians, he played an important role in the team’s return to the NAHL Playoffs as a steady veteran presence on the blue line.

Speaking about LeNeave’s commitment, Magicians Vice President Kevin Ingvalson noted, “Will made an immediate impact in his short time with the Magicians and we are excited for him to have this opportunity to play at the next level. He was a leader on and off the ice for us, and his hard work will no doubt lead to success at the collegiate level. We look forward to following him as he continues his career at a great MIAC school.”

At Gustavus LeNeave will join former Minnesota Magicians Colin Hernon, a forward who played on the inaugural 2013-14 team, and Chris Amsden, a goaltender during the 2014-15 season.
