After nearly one month on the road, the Wisconsin Windigo are back at The Ponds of Brookfield for a two-game series with the division-leading Minnesota Wilderness. The two games are set to take place on Friday, Nov. 7 and Saturday, Nov. 8 at 7:35 PM Central Time.

In the last two meetings between these squads, the Windigo marched into Cloquet, MN and held their ground, winning both games against the Wilderness. Game one was an overtime thriller that came to an end when Windigo defenseman Michael Ryan scored the game-winning goal to give Wisconsin a 4-3 win. In the second meeting, the Windigo won in regulation 4-2 fueled by a two-goal performance from winger Ryan Mottau.

In the team’s most recent series, the Windigo split two games with the Springfield Jr. Blues. Wisconsin opened the series with a 3-2 win to extend their win streak to four games. The Windigo had each of their three goals scored by a different player, including center AJ Bongiorno, who scored his first goal of the season. In the second game of the series, the Windigo lost 6-2, marking their first loss to the Jr. Blues since the 2023-24 season.

The Minnesota Wilderness also split games in their most recent series, winning one out of two contests with the Janesville Jets. After a 3-2 loss to Janesville on Friday, Oct. 31, the Wilderness responded well with a 4-2 win a day later.

In the NAHL Midwest Division Standings, the Windigo are currently in fourth place with an 8-8-1 record. Wisconsin narrowly trails the Janesville Jets, who are in third place at 9-7-0. With three losses in their last four games, the Wilderness have a 13-3-2 record and are holding onto a division lead over the second-place Fairbanks Ice Dogs.

Headed into the weekend slate, the Windigo have a three-way tie atop their point leaderboard. Ryan, alongside second-year forwards Teddy Richardson and Alexios Georgaklis all have 15 points. Ryan leads the team with 12 assists, while Georgaklis and Richardson are tied atop the goal leaderboard with forwards Ronnie Hill and Brendan Finley.
